The Tent – Inside and Out – Display at the 'Knights Hall Gallery' - Acre
I selected Yitzhak's mother, Sarah our Matron, especially emphasizing the immortal saying: "After I am worn out I will now have this pleasure". Not only I have perceived her as the matron of all matrons, but also as the mother of all women, who is capable of introspecting-doubtfully, with laughter, compassionately, consciously, and creatively. The point of departure for my works were self portraits which I drew facing a mirror.
My words as it cited in the catalogue: "Sarah's tenderness symbolizes life's energy, the power of birth, of a new work, and of introspection…Sarah introspects, while I view her through the eyes of history, of myths and symbols. At the same time, I am viewing myself in the mirror, drawing self-portraits…Sarah's Tent radiates the aura of eternal women, the mother, which constitute the temple of the transcendental soul".
Sarah's Tent was constructed through a complex process, and is based upon dozens of self-portraits, which were photographed and then were computer-processed. Of each original work I produced dozens of new works through processes of dissembling and assembling. The new products were printed on square canvasses, to become drawings which derived from the original prototype drawing.

Those units expanded the original drawing and became its derivatives, also constituted the foundation for the tent's large fabric sheet. The units were attached by embroidery and knitting. The tent's exterior is white, clean, not disclosing its interior colorfulness and happening.
