I have carefully considered how to put together and present on this site, my Curriculum Vitae, as customarily entitled.
I am well familiar with that formal document, commonly referred to as C. V., where education, positions, appointments, exhibitions, articles, courses, conferences etc. are schematically and chronologically listed. I own such a document, which I present upon request in order to obtain a position in one organization or another. I am also familiar with such a document as sent by others to me, when I served in administration positions.
After thought and considerations, I realized that such a document had no room in my website. Then again, it is likely that if I had already revealed myself and my scope of work on my website, some may seek the same information about me, which I mentioned above. After all, it is customary, as it is sort of an identity card. Yet I wonder, should I prepare a summary where the story of my dear family, our history? Will specifying my education and where I acquired it, will be of interest for this website? Is this the framework within which all my 40 individual and group exhibitions shall be listed, as well as art projects in which I have been involved? Shall I portray the exhibitions which I have curated? Shall I name and specify the various positions and appointments which I have served in organizations, associations, and institutes; or perhaps, should I list the titles of the lectures, articles, courses, and conferences in which I have been involved as a developer, lecturer, director, or researcher? Shall I list the awards I have received? Is this the framework within which the where's and the when's will be of interest? And what about new projects I initiate and develop? In effect, I have indeed shared while wondering whether to share, and what is to be shared.
As a matter of fact, my very choice of constructing a website is clearly as a stage I have established, where I play my role, as a playwright, director, and actress. However, as opposed to the theater stage, this is, in fact, my real life. Since this website is not meant to open a slot for any position, I have found this stage as a desired space in which I am interested in impressing those taking interest not with fancy names of institutes, titles of courses, positions, and dates, but rather, with visible activity, about which one may read. While relating and documenting my activities, perhaps I will enrich the world of those who take interest and peek.
Thus, I am married and a mother of four. Through the years I have studied education, administration, art, literature museology, behavioral sciences, and N.L.P. coaching, in various institutes in and out of Israel. I have acquired a wide array of knowledge, as well as honorable degrees/titles. I have served various positions and held professional appointments.
I am an active artist, lecturing at high education institutes, a researcher, poet, curator, N.L.P. coach, member of professional associations and various committees and boards of directors, managing a private studio, 'Nurit-Art', currently working to expand it.
Those who are curious and take true interest in the site- which is alive and kicking, retroactively documenting, galloping forward and is constantly being updated – will be able to find in it plenty of detailed information.
But because one picture is still worth a thousand words, I have chosen, on this document titled ''Curriculum Vitae", to recount my professional history through photo album visual hints. The photographs hint of, and document my work through the years – during production, at openings of solo exhibitions I have displayed, at teaching, delivering speeches, or lecturing at my capacity as the Head of Interdisciplinary Art Studies Center at the Western Galilee College, for example, or by my works during a solo exhibitions I displayed, ceremonies, celebrations, etc.
